EUROPEAN SATELLITE LINK GmbH ACQUIRES HANIKA ESS GmbH
(30th August 2006) Turnkey satcoms specialist expands marine and land mobile activity through private acquisition.
European Satellite Link GmbH (ESL) has acquired marine and land mobile satcoms specialist Hanika ESS GmbH. ESL is the primary Nera SatCom products and service source in Germany for the worldwide Defence, Governmental, Media, Aid & Rescue, Finance, Construction and Marine markets.
The company’s service concept is based around being a total solutions provider and the addition of Hanika ESS is in line with ESL’s strategy of being a ‘one stop shop for professional satellite communications customers’. As a turnkey supplier, ESL is dedicated to providing customer satisfaction with a wide range of satellite solutions, equipment and airtime offerings.
“Hanika has a strong service and support network and brings to ESL a portfolio of broadband satellite products that are complimentary to those that we already provide,” comments Wolfgang Engelhardt, Managing Director, ESL GmbH. “The acquisition of Hanika is key to our commitment to extending our portfolio and developing service, installation and training, which is the foundation of the company’s new service concept following the name change from Nera GmbH in January this year.”
