    More capable - less expensive

The Nera WorldPro 1000/1010* Inmarsat BGAN terminal is not just much smaller and much more capable than any previous terminal - it is also much cheaper. It allows you to stay connected almost anywhere in the world (see BGAN coverage map).

    Broadband and voice - simultaneously

With data rates of up to 384 kbps, users of the Nera WorldPro 1000 series can make use of bandwidth-hungry applications on the move without experiencing any performance issues. Simultaneously, the same terminal can transmit very high-quality voice calls when used with the Nera WorldSet.

Complete flexibility - indoors and outdoors

In order to cater for comfortable indoor usage in inhospitable or risky environments, the Nera WorldPro 1000/1010 can be split into two units. Built for persistent travel and bumpy rides, the terminal can be dropped onto concrete without breaking and works just as well in a dusty desert as in a humid rain forest.

    No plug - just play

The Nera WorldPro 1000/1010's one-patch antenna means that it takes a user less than a minute to find the satellite communications signal. Self-explanatory indicators ensure that the terminal is straightforward to operate.

The BGAN terminal can be supplied with a satellite handset - the Nera WorldSet

*Nera WorldPro 1000: USB interface, Nera WorldPro 1010: Ethernet interface. All other features and specifications are identical.

    BGAN helping NGOs in Africa

Non Governmental Organisations (NGO), by their very nature, often work in remote or inaccessible areas. The kind of work carried out by charities and volunteers on behalf of NGOs is aimed at improving the quality of life of some of the world’s poorer communities, so when out in the field, communication infrastructure can be very limited and very often, non-existent. This is why many NGO workers, such as Belgian Eric Vanbutsele rely so much on satellite communications.
